Each year the NYSWYSA recognizes and honors individuals who have distinguished themselves by their exemplary voluntary contributions to the youth soccer community. This time-honored tradition will continue for the 2020-2021 season despite the disruption of activities caused by the Coronavirus.
Listed below are the Annual Awards that are available each year:
Each year there are individuals well deserving of all the aforementioned awards. Therefore, NYSWYSA President Curt Regruit has once again requested that all Board Members and the State Staff to actively promote these important awards. As the NYSWYSA Award's Committee Chairman, it is once again my time-honored privilege to continue to "champion" this important activity.
I urgently request all the people who see this message to help advertise and promote these awards at their disposal. Please utilize distribution lists, the social-media, and any other methods that you have available to disseminate this communication and the information concerning these awards. The NYSWYSA BOD wants to reach out to as many people as possible including club and league administrators, coaches, managers, and players as well as their family members. If there is anything that I can do to assist you in this endeavor, do not hesitate to contact me.
The end of the 2020-2021 playing season is nearly upon us, so it is now the time to identify any and all potential candidates for these awards while the season’s activities are still fresh in your minds.
Please do not wait any longer! The deadline for submission of nominations is September 11, 2021. This will allow sufficient time for the NYSWYSA Annual Award’s Committee to process/review the nominations received, select the NYSWYSA winners, and submit the selections to the Eastern Region competition by the Friday, October 1, 2021 deadline. The current versions of the Nomination Forms can be found on and downloaded from Forms on the NYSWYSA Website.
Please note that nominations can only be accepted on the forms from the NYSWYSA Website and must be submitted in the Microsoft Word format, not PDF. The Nomination Form must be filled out in its entirety. Responses must be provided to the items listed under the Criteria section of the forms. A Soccer Summary must also be provided for any coaching nominations (this includes the years and teams coached, licenses held, achievements). Letters of Recommendation (with a maximum of three) should be provided for all nominations.
The completed forms and all supporting documentation must be emailed to:
firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com
It is my prime objective and that of the entire NYSWYSA BOD to once again be able to see all of the aforementioned awards be presented to deserving recipients. Please help us to achieve that goal. The NYSWYSA wants to ensure the recognition of exceptional individuals from our soccer community for their efforts and significant contributions to the youth participants and the game of soccer. Only you that can make this happen and any suggestions that you may have to achieve that end will be welcomed.
Serving you in youth soccer,
