Every spring there are coaches and club officers calling with emergencies to get a risk management pass cleared so the coach can play his/her game.   Avoid the hassle; get your coaches started on completing their risk management process as soon as you’ve identified your staff for 2012-2013.   Yes, all adults (including referees!) who have high contact with children should get a pass. All club officers should have a pass too… the background check looks at criminal and driving history and so you can with a request for a pass for officers ensure that your board members do not have undesirable backgrounds .   If you are a new registrar or unsure of the process don’t’ hesitate to call the office at 607-962-9923 or email office@nyswysa.org for help.
