Compete in the NYSW President’s Cup Qualifier
"End of the Summer Classic", July 31-August 2, qualifying event for the 2010 US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup
New York State West Youth Soccer Association (NYSW) announces a partnership with the Lancaster Depew Soccer Club to determine the qualifying teams for the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup 2010 from NYSW. The Lancaster Depew Soccer Club hosts a tournament that will be used as the qualifying event for the 2010 US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup entries from NYSW.

Region 1 Championships, Barboursville, West Virginia

Cortland, NY -- Weekend results from the New York State West Youth Soccer Association State Championships at SUNY Cortland  put seventeen western New York teams into the U.S. Youth Soccer Region 1 Championships.

The seventeen age-group state champions were all from various youth soccer clubs throughout western New York. A total of 63 teams from the New York State West Youth Soccer Association qualified for the Final 4 weekend from the original 119 entries.

New York State West’s champions will be among the 282 boys and girls teams playing July 2-7 in the U.S. Region I Championships at the Barboursville Soccer Complex and the Huntington YMCA Kennedy Center Scott Orthopedic Soccer Complex in Huntington, WV.

NYSW is very proud of the teams that represented our state at the President’s Cup Sub-Regional matches held May 31-June 2 in Cranberry, PA. These teams represent some of our best recreational players and from the game reports each team did an outstanding job on the pitch. Thank you to each and every player, coach and parent for your efforts on and off the field in representing NY West.


ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

Zero Tolerance Policy

To help prevent physical assault and verbal abuse in the leagues and clubs within the New York State West Youth Soccer Association (NYSWYSA, or Association); the Association has adopted a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY. This policy applies to all coaches, players, parents, spectators and other supporters and referees effective immediately. Abusive and obscene language, violent play/conduct, fighting and other behavior (including, but not limited to sarcasm, taunting, etc.) deemed detrimental to the game between the above mentioned groups will not be tolerated. The ultimate responsibility for the actions of coaches, players and spectators resides with the member clubs.
 
It is the responsibility of the coaches to provide referee support and spectator control, and it is the responsibility of the member clubs to provide instructions to their coaches on how they are expected to carry this out. This policy applies before, during and after the game at the soccer field and its immediate surrounding areas.
