The WNY soccer community lost a long time friend and great supporter of the game this week.  Roger A. Jank of Cheektowaga, NY, passed away on February 5,  2007

 

Roger served as the NY West Buffalo District Commissioner for over 20 years and was instrumental in getting numerous soccer programs started in the greater Buffalo area.  He will be fondly remembered and missed by all.   

 

Roger was the beloved husband of Elisabeth Jank; dearest father of Marina (James) Whitacre, Roger Jr. (Kathrine), Michael (Christine) and Patrick Jank; loving grandfather of 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother of Stephen Jr., Ronald, Gerald and Richard Jank.   Funeral services were held for Roger on February 9, 2007
