To all ODP Participants:
Congratulations on your soccer success and welcome to NYSWYSA Olympic Development Program! In the ODP program you will be training with other soccer players who exhibit exceptional skills and determination to continually challenge themselves against the best players in our state and region. Our licensed staff provides a learning environment where it is accepted to test the boundaries of your technical, tactical, physical and personal potential without fear of failure. You will be challenged to work harder, faster and smarter than ever before and you will develop your skills, both athletic and personal) by pushing yourself out of your “comfort zone”. By committing to giving 110% at every training session and event, you will develop and learn more about yourself as a player and as a person.
Our program is in a state of continuous improvement. Over the years we have listened to the feedback and modified the program to provide a better program for you. The structure of this year’s program is outlined in a separate attachment. First, Because of the program’s demographics, e-mail is the preferred method for communication with all players and parents in the pools. Therefore, it is critical that you provide your pool manager with your email address of the responsible person in your household and also be one that will check the email consistently. It is important that you provide your Pool Manager with any change to email or residential addresses as well. Second, make sure you check www.nyswysa.org regularly as information gets updated periodically. Third, each pool has a “Pool Manager” who has accepted the responsibility for handling all administrative aspects in their pool. Each pool manager is an extension of us and is your point of contact for matters concerning your pool.
The Pool Managers for the 2007-08 season are below. Their contact information is available on the website as well.

Several documents require your attention and are located on the website at http://nyswysa.org/odp/Indoor_Training_Pools/150961.html. Please download these documents, complete them and send to your Pool Manager prior to your first training session – there are NO exceptions! These documents include a Player Information and Medical Release (a copy of your insurance card must be attached to this form), a Medical History Questionnaire, a Player’s Code of Conduct and the US Youth Soccer Player Profile Form (for ‘91 and ’92 age groups only). Your pool manager must have your completed forms before your player can participate in the first training session.
We have implemented an easier way to make your payments via an Online Registration process. All registrations and fees must be processed through the online system this year. This is true for players selected in the recent tryouts as well as returning players. A non-refundable deposit ($100) is required at the time you register and the balance of the indoor fees is due based on which pool you are in. Please contact your pool manager for that information or check on line at www.nyswysa.org.
The fees for this year’s program are as follows:
• Indoor Training $350
• Outdoor Training $250
• Region 1 ODP Tournament $60
• Region 1 ID Camps TBD
Please be advised there will be Indoor Play Days during the indoor season, venue and exact dates are still being finalized as of the writing of this letter. This event continues to grow as past participants tell others about the quality of the event. Please keep an eye on the website for more information.
The ODP website is constantly under construction, as we continue to make it a valuable resource. Again, we can not stress enough that your pool managers will have the most current up-to-date information so please use them as your primary source!
On behalf of the NYSWYSA ODP Staff and Board Members, welcome to ODP and we are excited for this opportunity for you to further develop as a person and as a player!
Yours in Soccer,
