Age Group      Players Exempted from Trying Out 

 

 U-13              Players on the ’99 NYW ODP Tournament A and B Teams.

                      (00’s participating on these teams are exempt from ’99 tryouts)

 

 U-14              Players on the ’98 NYW ODP Tournament A Team only.*

        

                      *Please note: B Team players in this age group are required to tryout.

 

Each year the age group that transitions from U-14’s to the U-15’s, experiences moving from an age group that has two teams competing at the ODP Tournament (ie. this year’s ’98’s sent an A team and a B team), to an age group that will only send one team to the ODP Tournament.  Correspondingly, the U-15 pool is smaller than the U-14 pool because it now is sending only one team to the ODP Tournament.  As such, only the A Team players from the U-14 age group are exempted from trying out.  (Rationale: If both the A and B teams in this age group were exempted from trying out, then the U-15 pool would already be at capacity and there would be no room to look at new players).

All players exempted from tryouts must pay the indoor registration fee for their respective age group by the required deadline to secure their place in the pool.
