Popular NYSWYSA Coaching Symposium Kicks Off With 2010 National Champions, Akron vs. Buffalo

NYSWYSA will conduct a coaching symposium on Friday, October 21,2011 at the University of Buffalo. The symposium will be in conjunction with the men’s soccer match played on that day between 2010 National Champions, the University of Akron and the University of Buffalo. The game will be played at UB Stadium with kickoff slated for 7:30pm.

 

Participating coaches will have the opportunity to watch a high level men’s Division I college soccer game while also hearing first hand from the head coaches of the respective teams prior to the matches. NYSWYSA Technical Director Dean Foti will lead the symposium that will take the participants inside the college game and explore a multitude of topics including the technical and tactical aspects of the game, team preparation, game planning, team management and game management. Hear directly from head coaches Caleb Porter – University of Akron and Dave Hesch – University of Buffalo, as they provide an rare inside look into their teams, their philosophies and their approach to this important Mid-American Conference match up.

 

The cost for the symposium is $25 which includes admission to the game, a coach’s reception prior to the game and a symposium information packet. Registration is open to all coaches and participants are encouraged to register early (click here). Please note that due to NCAA regulations no student-athletes (i.e. high school students) are permitted to attend this coaching symposium.
