CLINICIAN BIOS
Glen Buckley • NYW Director of Coaching A former professional player from England, Glen Buckley has been the Director of Coaching for NY West since 1999 and has earned great respect as a national leader in emphasizing small-sided games. Buckley has attained the highest credentials a soccer coach can earn: UEFA A license, USSF A License, USSF Youth License, NSCAA Premier Diploma, US Youth Soccer National Staff Instructor and USSF National Staff Instructor. Buckley worked extensively for the English Football Association Coach Education and Elite Player Programmes and was a monitor in the FA Centre of Excellence Programme, which identified young players for the FA National School and England National Youth Teams.
Chris Hershey • NY West ODP Goalkeeper Coach The new goalkeeper coach at Niagara University, Hershey is in his eighth year as the head goalkeeping coach for New York State West ODP. Hershey also works with US Youth Soccer Region I Girls ODP goalkeepers. He is the Buffalo United Soccer Club goalie director and the director of coaching for the Irondequoit Soccer Club. Hershey holds a U.S. Soccer Federation B license and an NSCAA Level Two Goalkeeping Diploma. Hershey played collegiately for Canisius in 1993 and for Buffalo State from 1995-97.
Paul Marco • Binghamton University Head Coach Paul Marco has led Binghamton to three consecutive appearances in the America East championship game, compiling a 41-21-21 record. Marco was the head coach at West Virginia from 1996-2001, where in 1999, he led the Mountaineers to a 13-5-1 record and was selected Big East Coach of the Year. A former West Virginia player, he holds a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and a USSF B License. Marco has been a member of the NSCAA national staff for six years.
Mike Singleton • Massachusetts Youth Soccer Director of Coaching A US Youth Soccer National Staff Coach, Mike Singleton has served on the FIFA Technical Committee and CONCACAF Technical Committee. Mike earned a Master’s degree in child clinical psychology from Purdue University and has conducted and published research in sports psychology and nutrition. Mike holds his USSF A, NSCAA Premier and NSCAA GK Level I licenses as well as having his US National Youth, KNVB Youth and FA Youth licenses.
Sam Snow • US Youth Soccer Director of Coaching Sam Snow is the US Youth Soccer Director of Coaching Education and is a U.S. Soccer National Staff Instructor. He holds "Y" and "A" licenses from U.S. Soccer as well as the Premier Diploma and Goalkeeper Level 2 from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Snow earned a Master of Arts in Physical Education from the University of South Florida and has coached at the club, high school, college and Olympic Development Program levels.
