Sports Concussion Protocol

US Youth Soccer

Changing the Culture of Concussion Starts With You!

Your actions can help create a safe environment for young athletes so that they can stay healthy, active, and thrive – both on and off the playing field.  US Youth Soccer has adopted a sports concussion protocol. Everyone should develop an awareness and watch for this type of injury.

US Youth Soccer Concussion Protocol and Notification

You should become familiar with US Youth Soccer’s Concussion Protocol and if an incident occurs be using the Concussion Notification Form.

  • US Youth Soccer Concussion Protocol
  • Concussion Notification Form – This should be used to provide a notice to the parent or guardian that their child might have suffered a concussion during training or a match. Please make sure to keep a copy for your files as well as giving one to the parent or guardian.

Concussion Resources from the CDC

  • Resources – Training, Fact Sheets, Education Materials, etc.

By taking this free, online course and using what you learn, you will be well positioned to improve the culture of concussion. Once you complete the training and quiz, you can print out a certificate, making it easy to show your league or school you are ready for the season.
