New York State West Youth Soccer Association (NYSWYSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of four Assistant Technical Directors: Eric Redder, Jim Harrigan, Colton Bly, and Ryan Borcyk. These individuals will begin their work immediately, supporting clubs and helping advance the Association’s technical and player development initiatives throughout New York State West.

As part of NYSWYSA’s commitment to providing greater support and resources to its membership, the Assistant Technical Directors will work closely with the Technical Director and member clubs to strengthen programming, enhance communication, and assist with the delivery of technical initiatives designed to benefit players, coaches, administrators, referees, and clubs across the state.

The Assistant Technical Directors will serve as important regional resources for member organizations, helping clubs access NYSWYSA programs and services while supporting coaching education opportunities, player development initiatives, club engagement efforts, technical projects, and strategic goals established by the Association. Their work will help strengthen relationships throughout the soccer community and ensure member clubs have greater access to technical support and developmental resources.

“The addition of these Assistant Technical Directors reflects our commitment to providing meaningful support to our clubs and ensuring that our technical initiatives have a broader reach throughout the state,” said Dave Kreger, Technical Director. “Their collective experience, passion for the game, and understanding of the youth soccer landscape will help us continue building programs that meet the needs of our players, coaches, clubs, and all stakeholders.”

Leadership Perspective

“These appointments represent an important investment in the future of soccer across New York State West,” said Hugh Goodridge, President, New York State West Youth Soccer Association. “As the needs of our clubs, coaches, players, and families continue to evolve, it is critical that we expand our capacity to provide meaningful support throughout our membership. The addition of Assistant Technical Directors strengthens our ability to engage directly with clubs, identify opportunities for growth, and deliver resources that enhance the soccer experience at every level of the game. This is another step forward in building a stronger, more connected association that is well-positioned to serve our members today and into the future.”

NYSWYSA will continue to provide information regarding upcoming technical programming, club support initiatives, coaching education opportunities, and other projects supported by the Assistant Technical Directors through its official communications channels.
