Roger coached and served as manager for several teams in the Gates Soccer League for 1976 to 1983 and held numerous offices in the League from 1979 to 1987, including secretary, 1st Vice President, and President. He also volunteered with the Gates High School Soccer Booster Club and the Boys Scouts, serving as a Cub Master for several years.
As a member of the New York State West Board of Directors he has served as the Rochester District Commissioner since 1984, and is the longest serving board member in New York West. He is currently acting secretary, a member of the Executive Committee and chairman of the Nominating Committee.
Roger holds an AAS degree in mechanical technology from Broome Community College and a BS degree in mechanical engineering from RIT. He is a retired engineer from the Xerox Corporation with 40 years of service. Roger and his wife Carol of 41 years reside in Gates, NY.
